Meet Luna – our CCATS May Dog of the Month

Luna, better known as “Luna Fish,” a 3-year-old English Pointer x Toy Poodle cross with endless energy and an even bigger personality.

Luna began her agility journey at just one year old and immediately discovered that running fast was absolutely her thing. Every obstacle is her favourite if she gets to zoom at top speed. Like many social butterflies, Luna’s biggest challenge in agility has been staying focused and resisting the temptation to recruit other dogs into games of absolute chaos. Her biggest accomplishment so far has been learning to stay engaged with her human… most of the time! Luna approaches every run with enthusiasm, excitement, and a determination to have the best time possible while hoping her handler can somehow keep up.

Outside the agility ring, Luna is known for being an extremely lovable lunatic who keeps everyone entertained. She has a surprising talent for skateboarding — although she’s quick to point out that she specialises in cruising, not kick flips. She’s also incredibly passionate about tug games and frisbee catching and can often be found chasing birds, swimming, or doing both at once if given the opportunity.

At home, Luna enjoys the finer things in life: chicken, cheese, belly rubs, and dramatic naps. Her preferred sleeping positions are either flat on her back or stretched out in her signature Superman pose. She sleeps like she’s fallen out of the sky mid-flight.

Luna’s human chose to strengthen their bond, burn off some of the endless beans she’s full of, and learn alongside the amazing trainers and handlers within the club. With her boundless enthusiasm, Luna certainly brings plenty of fun to every session and is a vibrant and valued addition to our CCATS family.
