Meet Jasper – our CCATS January Dog of the Month

Jasper, affectionately known as JJ, is a 2-year-old Husky x Huntaway with a big personality and even bigger energy. Easily recognised by his striking mismatched eyes, Jasper is a dramatic, goofy, and adventurous boy who keeps everyone smiling.

He began his agility journey in February 2025, where his love for tunnels quickly became clear. Like many social dogs, his biggest challenge has been staying focused around other dogs—sometimes the temptation to start a game of chase is just too much! Despite this, Jasper has already achieved an impressive milestone, placing 2nd at his very first Championship Show.

Jasper’s ultimate agility goal is to stay on course and resist running off, and with his enthusiasm and talent, he’s well on his way. His best trick is a charming “chin,” especially convincing when paired with his favourite reward: roast chicken.

When he’s not training, Jasper enjoys squeaky stuffed toys, beach adventures, and curling up in a cosy cinnamon roll for naps. We hear he has a secret talent of being a total diva—and for still hoping to win over his cat sister, even after two years of rejection.

Agility was chosen for Jasper to give this high-energy boy a job, and it’s clear he’s loving every minute of it. He and his human are a clever hard-working team and we are proud to have them as part of our CCATS family.
