Meet Sasuke, The Busy Monster with a Big Heart, our July/August dog of the month! 🐧🐾
Sasuke is a 4-and-a-half-year-old Penguin-cross Border Collie with a whole lot of energy and personality! Officially known as Sasuke, she’s affectionately nicknamed Sasuke the Busy Monster – and once you meet her, you’ll quickly understand why.
She began her agility adventure at just one and a half years old, inspired by her “little big brother” Pino, who promised it would be fun. And he was right! Sasuke thinks agility is the best kind of chaos – especially when it ends with grabbing her toy and racing back to mum, who greets her with a big smile almost every time. (Unless she’s too crazy in the ring… then mum might ask her to lie down. But mostly, mum just laughs it off.)
Sasuke’s absolute favourite obstacle? The bucket! But she’s not a fan of those last few obstacles that delay her joyful sprint back to it. Her biggest challenge in the ring is “calming down” – though she admits she’s not entirely sure what “calm down” means – it’s not in her vocabulary!
Despite her wild energy, Sasuke has made some fantastic progress – her proudest achievement so far is completing a clear round without knocking any bars. Her big dream? To become a Jumpers Champion! (Although mum jokes that becoming an Agility Champion might take a few miracles…)
Described as very loyal, incredibly sweet, and just a little bit crazy, Sasuke is full of love and charm. Her favourite things include venison with cheese, her beloved Hol-ee Roller toy, and catching it mid-run like a pro. She’s happiest napping next to mum or anywhere mum goes – here, there and everywhere.
She’s known far and wide for her quirky “penguin” look, and if you didn’t already know about her Rally-O Champion title, now you do! Though, thanks to mum’s updates on Facebook, there aren’t many secrets left about Sasuke’s life – including some personal poo stories, “aw mum you’re embarrassing me”.
Agility with Sasuke is a ton of fun. It’s not just sport for her; it’s a joyful energy outlet and way of life with mum by her side. CCATS are delighted to have this hard-working, lil’ bit crazy girl as part of the family.
